FAQs about Giving to TCC

What is a tithe? What is an offering?
A tithe, according to the Biblical standard, is 10% of one’s income. A tithe should be given to one’s local church. An offering is giving in addition to one’s tithes, such as to Missions, the Building Fund, church programs, guest ministries, or ministries other than the local church.
What does my giving support?
Your giving enables the operation of the church and its various ministries. Monies received are applied to pastoral and support staff compensation, church facility mortgage payment and maintenance, utilities, intra-church ministries (i.e. Sunday School, Mpact Girls Ministry, Royal Rangers, Youth Ministry, etc.), local benevolence ministries, missionaries in the U.S. and around the world, and much more.
Will I receive a giving statement for tax purposes?
Yes. TCC is a non-profit organization and your contributions are tax deductible. Whether you give online, via the mail, or in a worship service, a year-end giving statement will be provided to you if your cumulative giving for the year exceeds $250.
Are there any fees involved in giving online?
Yes. TCC pays a nominal processing fee for each electronic contribution. Credit card transactions incur the highest fees. Electronic check transactions incur the lowest fees. All fees are paid by the church. You do not pay any fees.
Is online giving secure?
